A volunteer borage plant that came up in the garden

A heavy crop of side shoots that came out after I harvested the main head.

The resulting dinner - Broccoli frittata on a bed of steamed kale. Except for the dash of cheese on top of the frittata, every ingredient came from here. Joe and I are hoping to launch an experiment for the months of July, August and September to see if we can eat only from our garden, the chickens and wild food. The only store-bought exceptions will be olive oil, salt and flour (to continue with bread baking). Exceptions also apply to pizza parties and meals with friends and family. If the garden continues with it's current level of production, this should not be a difficult venture. Plus, wild berry season is just around the corner. :)
